This gourd art piece was created for promotion of a family literature site in 2008. This art piece was inspired by a trip to the woods with my family, when we came across a young owl camouflaged at the base of a tree. I am touched by the recent purchase of my 'Young Owl' by an Atlanta, Indiana resident as a Christmas gift! What a joy to know my art goes to such heart-warming individuals! On another HaPpY note ... this piece has won third place in the American Gourd Society's Decorative Painting Contest & was featured with the first and second place winners in the Winter issue of The Gourd Magazine.
