Artist Reply: This was a flag retirement ceremony in Ky. Have you ever wondered what happens to all the flags that get owrn out and replaced. The ones over businesses etc...well the proper to "retire the falg" is to have a service and then burn it. This was a mass of about 300 flags from actoss the United States. They performed a service and then at the end of the service a prayer is said and the flags are lit. It was very interesting.
