'Knight Rider'

This is a model for a bronze sculpture I produced in 1982. My original title was 'Wild Ride' I changed it because anyone who rides the un- broken horse in rodeo is a real 'knight' of courage. I have had a wild ride myself and was knocked off but lost interest in doing it due to the hazards to health. The sculpture is complete with a walnut base I cut from a log with a steel welded armature inside bolted to the bottom. The clay I used is "sculpy clay" which is heated until it becomes hard. I painted it to look like a bronze sculpture. If I have enought interest I will produce 'Knight Rider' in a bronze.

I enjoy the roughness of the texture it add to the feel and meaning of the sculpture.

Artist Reply: Thanks. I was just thinking how this would sell quickly at a thrift store for $4.99 and half off on seniors day.
