All the Pieces from Thought to Paper

14x17 Oil Pastel on Paper This piece was inspired by a poem of the same name, "All the pieces" by Howard Finster. It depicts the artistic process of society's effect on the artist and in return the artist's effect on society. Society absorbs works of art and appreciates or rejects them at the expense of the artist's mental state and well being.
