In my front yard stands a magnificent magnolia tree. Day after day I watch the tree bloom, but I have never seen a blossom like the one in this painting. The blossom stood proudly in a botanical garden begging to be memorialized in a painting. So here she is in all her splendor. . . © 2007 Dell Belew
