Stepping into the Sunlight

Walking through the woods looking for leaves that are starting to turn, the dappled sunlight showing through the mostly green wooded area. I came upon this single leaf just shining in the sunlight as if it was beckoning to me to give it some attention because it had already started turning color before all the rest. So I did as it asked. It's not spectacular in color as there is no fall color just yet. It seems to be taking its time this year for some odd reason. But it seems almost too simple to be taking so much time with trying to find any value in this single unadorned leaf. I think sometimes it's the simplicity of something that makes it so beautiful.
