This is a Celtic cross I did last year. The pen i used was a Bic round stick pen medium point. They work awesome for the dark and shaded ink art I do. I laminated it onto a Mead composition notebook. I painted the notebook black with acrylic paint and used an acrylic gloss (any clear glaze gloss etc will work ,acrylic based) and put a clear coat over it and then put a heavy clear coat over the front cover and put this picture down on it. It helps to have a roller, like the ones used for inking stamps. It will help keep bubbles from forming under the picture. Once it all dries I added several more clear coats to protect the art work. The newer notebooks I have found have been very cheap, as far as quality is concerned, and I am not sure they will work very well. This notebook was left out on the dash board of my car in the summer for several hours and somthing happend in the ink and clear gloss i used and it turned everything that was white on the drawing yellow. it looks really nice, almost like a stained glass window. I haver noticed that some other older drawings yellowed, like somthing was leaching out of the ink turning the paper yellow just around the lines. however the gloss seemed to increase these effects as you can tell the whole picture did that. I am not selling notebooks anymore however if you want detailed instructions someone comment on it and I will reply. I am not typing it if noone needs the information. as far as copyrights go. I did the drawing. I got the Celtic Cross image itself from a website, i forget what website or I'd list it. (I'm sorry) I colored the entire sheet from blank paper with an ink pen. the Cross was printed with an inkjet and then I drew over it. for anyone curious it took probably 4 hours from start to finish if you weren't going to take a break. I spent 2-3 days doing it. 2006

Outstanding work! I love how you made this functional, too. Why don't you put the instruction in the "tutorials and tips" section and then you only have to type it once.Emily Reed 11 Aug 2007
