Mars and Venus

Original artwork by Karen Christine Greaves. The dawn represents birth of a new day and new love. Venus is surrendering to Mars The God of Wars love. Cupid shoots his arrow at Venus to represent the divinely love shared by men and women. Venus on her white horse represent the white horses or foam of which she was born. The flying fish represent fertility as we the viewer can only imagine the inevitable. This is an allegorical suggestion that love can tame the God of War. Acrylic on premium primed canvas. Size: 99cm x 71cm framed.
