The Model T Ford

Contrary to what some believe Henry Ford did not invent the automobile or the assembly line but his Model T transformed the World. From 1909 to 1927, Ford built more than 15 million of them. In 1914, there were 300 auto manufacturers but Ford was producing more cars than the other 299 combined. By 1927, the Ford Motor Company was building a car every 24 seconds. Not all Model Ts were black, in fact black wasnt even available during the first year of production when the model selected determined the color, touring cars for example were red. After 1913 Model Ts went all black until 1926 when other colors were once again made available due to declining sales.
