Just a taste

Coloured pencil on paper. Original in private collection. Some parts had over 40 layers to create the rich tones. Please email me to purchase specialty prints.

Lovely work, Sally.

Artist Reply: Thank you very much, Joe. A different meditation for us I believe...slow down andd see the stillness!

Sally, this is really most excellant, Brian has good taste, very well done my freind!

Artist Reply: Thanks, Cathy. I thought I had moved on from coloured pencil, but now am thinking I might go back to the medium in which I created my first works of art. Unfortunately, this is done on construction paper, so I don't think it will age well...live and learn. Thanks again.

This is gorgeous!!! The flower is very realistic, and stands out very well against the dark background. Did you do this on a dark coloured paper? I can't believe that you used over 40 layers on some of the areas, no wonder it looks so bright and vibrant!

Artist Reply: Thanks very much, Amy. Yup, it's on coloured black paper...I wonder how long it will last as I didn't know anything about archival paper in the beginning.

Hummers are facinating.

Artist Reply: I agree. We get them at our flowers and feeders sometimes. My husband had a friend that liked to hang out within arms reach while he was gardening!!
