Fly fish fly!

Used materials are mainly pastel and ink. This artwork goes beyond the waves and represents "infinity and home" It also represents freedom from competition and being left alone (in a positive sense). In the context of this work, home is part of infinity, and created by recognition... a well-defined world of static waves.

I love this image. I am interested in your background information on this image; I see the fish as being quiet startled & the waves as threatening.

Artist Reply: Thanks for your comments! Well, the waves represent infinity, which can be frightening. The world of waves here is also quite dark. What you actually see is a paradox. The fish looks overwhelmed and startled, but this is home. Exactly in this infinite, frightening world it should find peace! It is already having a "higher" view, beyond the waves (probably even more frightening). The waves also give protection and possibilities. Somewhere there is peace and home to find.
