This picture of a girl "CUTTING" has been stuck in my head for a while. I've never "CUT" but I have empathy for the young ones out there that do. This is my take on how they see/feel. The Soul Aches How to relieve pain? When sutures don't work and words can't explain Shallow cut releases pressure A perceived control valve A deceived sleight of hand A hidden gash is a treasure A girl takes a knife and cuts herself. For a few moments, she's in control,...in control of her pain. She decides how much how long, and for a few moments the pain on the inside feels less. This is my perception of what "CUTTING" is.
