Crazy Mushrooms

_________________________________

STUDY IN BLUE tones.
These colors create an intensive mood.
I used modeling paste to create the impasto look.

WHY MUSHROOMS?
I live close to Kennett Square (PA), the Mushroom Capital of the World. a small town, which is located about thirty miles south of Philadelphia. Over the past one hundred years, mushroom growing in our area has evolved from a minor sideline among area carnation growers to a multi-million dollar industry.
Today mushrooms are the number one cash crop in the state of Pennsylvania. The states output accounts for nearly half of the nation's total production
They sell White Baby Bella, Shiitake Oysters, Maitae and Portabella Mushrooms in the area I live.

I used gold leaf to warm up the cold blue tones.
The gold is also representing the mushroom's value in our area. Lots of people work in this business. _________________________________

I found some jade, blue, green toadstools. I put them in the shed, on returning and opening the door I was hit by this most beautiful and powerful sent. Intoxication is the word for it.
