A bunch of punks chilling out - I love it. It's a quick study painting (about 6 hours) which I've kept plain and simple by just depicting a plain background so it doesn't feel too 'busy'. After all the hassles of painting loads of stuff in my hustler series I just wanted to capture some folks in a simple manner. I got a new Tai-Shan Schierenberg book (who after Lucian Freud is my favourite living painter out there - he's badass) and I was inspired to just paint - and this is came out of the session (I've got another 3 paintings on the go - I'm slightly obsessed I feel)
