This is a portrait of my sister's rescue leonberger mix "Berta". The original is painted with acrylic paints on a 8 1/2" x 11" heavy card stock paper. I have put together a short step by step representation on how I painted this portrait. It's a slide show with scans from the painting in progress with music in the background called "Die Moldau" by Arndt Stein. Enjoy the show and Thank you for watching.

This is really beautiful! I have a Jack Russell cross Foxie. The face of Berta is just like our dog. except for the lenth of hair and colour. Wow!Loredana 01 May 2007
