What is Easter Without Trilliums??

I finally put the boots on, on Monday, and went for an easy hike along the Rim Trail with 2 very dear people. (My heal did pretty good, but not perfect..) We had a specific agenda....find Trilliums. Not having been in the woods for a while, I wasn't sure if I was early or late. Lucky us, these are the first ones out. Only about 20% of them are open, but there are so many more coming. The next two weeks should be peak. They are a very special flower to me as I was raised on the side of a mountain where they were plentiful. They had special religious meaning to my family and we were always told never to pick them....they will die, and they don't transplant very well either. God is the only gardener for these precious flowers and he chooses Easter to bring these beauties to us. Happy Easter to you all and may God's great love be with you always!!! For those of you not of the Christian faith, please celebrate the coming of spring with me as the forests transform from winter browns to spring greens. We definitely have seasons here!! Thank you ALL for visiting!!!! :)
