This is a portrait of my grandmother, a very special person in my life. She's been gone for many years now and her birthday was on New Year's Day. I thought about her on this day and decided to look at some old photo albums and I found an old photograph from her 80th birthday and I wanted to paint her portrait in honor of her. This was my first painting I did in 2007 and I gave this portrait to my mother as a gift and found out that if my grandmother would have lived to this day, she would have been 100 years old. My mother was very touched and she now lives on in my Mom's livingroom. Thanks for looking.
