JFK

This was a freehanded loose sketch which is gradually being transformed into an illustration. John Fitzgerald Kennedy, born on May 29, 1917, two months after the United States officially entered World War 1... this human being, developed and became one of the most influential and dynamic leaders in the history of this planet. His characteristics, studies, humor, strengths, ideologies, and well delivered speeches, his public organization and international visionary quests, his staff and agile cabinet members, his consecutive appearances, bold stands and proclamations, his straight-forwards balanced perspectives on political, private and civilized issues, right at a climactic point in history, became an almost fabled talltale legend. The 1960's were clearly felt. Jacqueline Lee Bouvier became his beautiful and supporting wife who, together, caught the imagination and heart of America in an almost whimsical dreamstate reality based realm retitled "Camelot". This portrait is approximately 6 ft. X 6 ft. it is painted in acrylics, oils stains, spraypaint, clear glosses, pastel and inkwashes. There are painted sections that have been collaged by incorporating actual dated historical coins, books, photographs, relics, pins and postage, to form a multilayered conveyance. This is an artistic depiction of this chronicled time period and the impact his moment of death had on our people. I studied his and her attire on November 22, 1963 during the final 20-car high security motorcade ride to downtown Dallas Texas. The color scheme was put together from and by their choiced wardrobe for this final segment of the day. Also incorporated, were space program details, Russian and Chinese lettering in brushstrokes. A detailed version of the final painting will be published in bookform. HR-Arternatives 2007
