MASCOT COSTUME DESIGN & LOGO

This costume design and logo were first created by direct communication and verbal descriptions from Mr. Ed Robinson. His initial concept was to create an interactive Cartoon Character which would be displayed on curricular packages, t-shirts and caps, Backpacks, and even made into an actual live performance costume for community outreaches and school presentations. The Logo also needed to be tied into the specific feel and colors of this project. After various attempts and sketches, it finally came to me one night! A tough city Tiger who would relate to kids and expound on points and subjects through the use of a big blue book (Kind of like Felix the cats bag) He would talk the talk and walk the walk, bringing out various unexpected illustrations and humorous tricks as well as interact directly with crowds in spontaneous and dancer choreographed productions. They loved the concept and hired me to produce the artwork, mascots, and to paint the vehicles. The process of finding all the components, from the exact fabrics, plastics, foams and vinyls, The structure and construction of the head piece with instilled functioning ventilation battery pack fans, the shoes and tail suspension, the multi sectioned storage book, etc. The community loved it and the project was completed in good timing.
