The Happy Dog

I played fetch with a beautiful dog one day, and got to enjoy it's company while waiting for my husband to finish an errand. I had wanted to take a little catnap in the care and enjoy the cool breeze of the day. I heard a noise and saw this beauty jumping up to peek at me. I couldn't resist, so got out to pet the cute dog. The dog quickly ran to get a stick. That was amusing, as there were only some large branches around. The dog must have done this before, because in a minute had broken a branch down to three ususal sticks. Next he inspected the three, finally choosing one to bring me. I threw the stick for a while, and then he found a ball as he ran about. I got my camera out as he lay down to take a rest. I love these intellegent border collies. One blue eye, one brown eye, both full of fun. This one runs amuck at my brother in-laws business grounds, and has the run inside and out. I look forward to doing some more paintings of him. I laughed when my husband came out from his meeting and asked if I'd been bored waiting. LOL! I had had a blast playing with the dog, nothing boring about that. This is a well loved, well cared for, friendly, smart, happy dog. Thanks for sharing a fun adventure with me. I'll have to get him some new toys next time I see him.

very beautiful dog!!m saying this b'coz i feel like i m seeing it in front of me,and all that's of ur great painting!!Excellent painting!!

Artist Reply: Thank you Mahesh! Doing fur and grass is tedious for me to paint. Still, it's worth the end results. She is such a beautiful dog, and smart. First dog that goes and gets her own stick for yu to throw for her. I've watched her break sticks down to the size she likes before bringing it to you. If you ask her to get a stick, off she goes and finds one.

Beautiful and cool !

Artist Reply: Thanks Suriyan for your comments on Abbey, the dog. I finally know here name. Turns out it's my nephew's dog. I've moved out to the area they are, so will have to do a few more of her.
