I was a teenage nail biter 2005

This painting is part reality and part fantasy. After watching Andy Warhol/Paul Morrissey's film 'Flesh' & 'Trash' I though Andy's muse Joe Dellasandro was the epitome of man. As soon as I saw him I wanted to feature him in a painting. I placed him in a bathroom setting because I'm curious as to what goes on behind closed doors as we all are. It's set in a bathroom as a nod to the old masters such as Degas, Renoir, and so forth.
