Rose Hill Manor Gardens # 2

Here is another view of the beautiful gardens at Rose Hill Manor, Frederick, Md. It was the home of the first Govenor of Maryland. It is a living museum that teaches about colonial life. It has a beautiful assortment of flowers and herbal plants in the gardens, as well as spots to sit and to enjoy the view. I will be adding more photos of this beautiful place soon.

One pretty view and photo, Terry.

Artist Reply: Thank you Bert. I love gardens, and this one is one worth bringing into more public notice. It's a Maryland Historical landmark, full of so much Early American history.

what a very beautyfull garden... just a relaxing vieuw

Artist Reply: Thank you Blue Doll. I hope to have even a little bit of such a beautiful garden when I move. Roses, iris, lilies, will be everywhere, and whatever else I can manage. Got lots of collected rocks to landscape the edges of the garden I've collected over the years. My husband's already groaning about me packing them up in crates to move.

Breathtaking landscape!

Artist Reply: Thanks Emily! It's like time traveling when you visit such places. Gardening was so more important then. It's wonderful to see places that that the gardens as they were. This place holds so many events for educational work with children. I used to bring my daughters here with for Summer Camp activities. They had fun dipping candles, cooking in a kettle pot, and learning about life during that time.
