The heart of this garden favourite, a perfumed yellow rose. This centre is painted lavishly with thick impasto effect oil using both knife and brush work to convey depth into the impressionistic painting. Base colours for this work are cadmium yellow, chromium yellow and naples yellow to add a little warmth. The work is on a stretched standard edge canvas (approximately 50cm x 50cm x 2 cm ).
