Very intriguing shot Allan, do you have an history on this place...I don't know it...it has a haunting effect though.

Artist Reply: Christine, This is what's left of Fort Pickens which was the largest of a number of forts built to fortify Pensacola Harbor. Its construction lasted from1829 to 1934. It was built by slaves, many who died during the construction. It was never used to defend the Harbor. From 1885 to 1887, Geronimo and some of his warriors were imprisoned there. It was named after the revolutionary hero Andrew Pickens. Today, it's administered by the National Park Service.
