I like your very lively style Jill, and your use of colour too. At first I thought in the thumbnail pic, that this was a hat on a dummy head. It's amazing what we can see in paintings at times. Don't you agree? :D
Just one little thing, it's not always wise to paint your main subject right in the very centre of the canvas. I don't know why, but it very rarelly makes for a great painting?
Artist Reply: thank you...yeah well as I was painting this, it reminded me of those old Roman busts and I thought that what a cool idea for a poem. Roman Busts/heads as candy dishes and have each of them die of a candy overdose.

Well, as for centering the subject, I like asymterical as well as symeterical and I think I was trying to make this as simple as possible. But yeah I do like the off setness as well...
