have you ever read 'drawing on the right side of the brain' by betty edwards. i'm sure you would find it very helpful. one of the tricks i do that helps me to find my errors is to turn the picture up-side-down. it's so much easier to find them 'cause your brain doesn't see the face anymore but just a series of patterns. you did a great job of capturing his strong bone structure and the expression in his eyes.
