Farm kitten hiding on a roof

This is a cute kitten that was hiding on the roof of my sisters home on a farm. It wanted to see who I was, but not willing to come down to visit. Often the farm cats have litters on the roof to advoid any farm dogs or other critters that may bother the kittens. They have them under the safety of the eaves, in some covered areas. My sister lives on a farm that has several rental homes on it, so the farm cats like to hang around her home, where they are tended and fed.

I want a white kitty for my own one day to Terry.

Artist Reply: I love all cats, even the grumpy old ones. I am thinking of getting a couple again. I've waited a while since my last eldery cat died. I've missed the cozy companion of a cat. I've still my dogs, but they are not the same as a cat.

Very cool photo - I really love the white caqt and the so green background - awesome capture!

Artist Reply: Thanks MJ! My sister has the farm cats that will have kittens up on her roof where they are safe from dogs. She lives on a farm that has several rental homes on one area. There are eaves and she puts a covered box so they kittens can be in comforable. There were a few kittens still up on the roof when I visited. The rest were demanding my attention on the ground.

Great shot, Terry!

Artist Reply: THis one was curious as to what I was doing, and teased me by walking around and trying to play with me.

Another precious one! What's he doing up there?! Great capture!

Artist Reply: Thanks Carliss! The kittens are up on the roof and stay under a covered ease. The mother cats like to climb up on my sister's porch rail and jump to the roof to bear their litters. She makes sure there is food and water. The kittens come down when they are old enough to climb. They love playing on the overhangin tree banches and in the shade.
