This is an original hand sculpted and hand painted Chinese (eastern) dragon. This piece was made with super sculpey clay over a wire and aluminum foil armature. It was painted in acrylic paints and finished with a protective matte finish. A glaze was applied to areas such as the nose and eyes, horns, clays and various areas of the scaled back for shine.
This sculpture was also given unique green glass eyes with slit like pupils for added realism. The scales are painted in two metallic gold tones and flecks of metallic silver to create reflective scales.
