When a forest is violently ravaged by fire, all that remains is a dark, sad and lonely place riddled with the charred lifeless skeletons of what was once a place full of life and beauty. And over time the rain and sun bring nourishment restoring that dark, sad place, bringing life & beauty once again. And similarly our lives experience the same destruction physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Just as the forest, our lives seem dark, sad and lonely. Our rain & sun are God’s love, grace & mercy that he pours on us to bring restoration. And through his son Jesus Christ there is once again life and beauty--the hope of rebirth.
