Pastel on Canson Mi-Teintes Pastel Paper. 'This was painted as a little bit of a challenge from a fellow artist who felt that the depiction of wetness and shine could not truly be achieved with a dry medium such as pastel or chalk as he calls it. He ate his words, not the cherries.'

I loved this drawing when I first saw it at Addingham, and it is still one of my favourites. As a pastel artist myself, I am very pleased you made him eat his words. I remain a big fan of your work.Sally Pulford 16 May 2007
I love this too. Lusious and vibranit. I love that it's better than reality, but holds the perspective of reality.Renata Cavanaugh 11 Aug 2006
