Shamus, the Cliffhanger Case Files!

Shamus: the Cliffhanger Case Files is a Yahoo! Group I'm a part of. I'm very fond of the pulp fiction and the Golden Age of heroes. Back then, heroes weren't whiny or angst ridden list MOST of Marvel's shit. This is a composite of two images. The fellow with the tommygun and the SanFran skyline. I used the Watercolor filter to render the Skyline to give it that muddy look seen on old pulp fiction magazine covers. I sharpened the gangster (or hero?) then used the Gaussian (spelling?) blur at 0.6. The letters I used Worlds Mightiest for Shamus: and Betty Noir for Cliffhanger Case Files. I gave them all drop shadows and embossed them. For the Cliffhanger lines, I used innerglow of red and outer glow of black. For the Shamus, I did the same thing but then filled it with a red after I rasterized it. Hopefully my description works because my memory isn't too good and I tend to work things by the seat of my pants.
