Where Wilderness Meets Civilization

As we are enjoying the peace and tranquility during the first part of the hike, we started to here the sounds of traffic. This trail crosses under a major interstate (4 lanes westbound) but it doesn't take long and the noise disappears and you are back in the wilderness. The good thing tho is that there is cell phone reception up here, not in most of the places we go..

I like this for two reasons: One, the form and perspective are great with the trees and the arc of the highway. Two, it goes to show you how man can build something, even the most serene of places...
