Welcome to AW!! these are very cool, I was wondering though are they sewn? how do you create them? very creative stuff
Artist Reply: Hi Pete, there are brands of modeling clay called FIMO and Sculpey. It's a very soft clay and it's tempermental. It has a high oil content and tries to reassume a resting shape. I have to work quick with it and then bake it to harden it before it attempts to run back together. Fimo isn't that difficult to work with, it's a bit stiffer. I'm still experimenting with brands of "baking" clays. I roll out a basic body, bend it to shape, and then begin to sculpt out the bits and pieces to make it look a bit more human.
you obviously have a very active imagination that you can delve into and bring out into the material world. It appears very peacefull, and meditative in practice.
Artist Reply: For a first time attempt at a medium I've never attempted I think I was rather frazzled while creating it. You get the general gist of the feeling I am striving for, thank you, Cassandra-lyn.
