San Xavier Mission

This is a painting I did of the historical San Xavier Mission, near Tuscon, Arizona. It is a lovely old mission! I created from scratch this painting, stroke by stroke (it is not a manipulated photo(. Used my wacom tablet and stylus to paint it with Painter Classic software.

I love it

Artist Reply: Thank you Kiddolucas Lee! I hope to go back to visit in a few months when it's cooler. It's a beautiful place. This one was fun to do, but tricky to leave enough detail, but keep the watercolor brush strokes I chose to paoint it in. I've a better program that handles small details now, but like this as it is.

Terry, I love the softness you have achieved of a beautiful subject in such a harsh environment as the Sonoran Desert area.

Artist Reply: Thank you Sam! I enjoy the beauty of the desert and see it's charm. It's hot, but beauty is there.

Wow well done indeed!

Artist Reply: Thank you Ralph! I like to try new things to work on. I haven't done vary many buildings at all. So I gave this one a shot. I used to sketch them, but painting is not the same. It was a good lesson for me to do, and will try to do more in the future. I'm always popping from one type of work to another to dabble. Then back again to do some more. Some works I keep in files incomplete or for ideas unto I am ready to finish them. Some until I figure out what I need to do to make it what I feel it should have.
