I finally, after over a year of trial and error (on and off) and over a year of searching for other folks filters, created my own preset for simulating tapestry/thread sewing renderings. I'm dedicating this month to this subject. For those who are interested in acquiring the Impressionist presets, please reply to this thread. I used the Thread2 preset and Mehdi's Kaleidoscope filter to create this Persian rug. :)
