Another view of the dock behind our house, on a foggy, slick-calm day. The crab pot creates an optical illusion...is it the reflection of a hidden crab pot, or a crab pot with no reflection?
My favorite part of this image is how the patterns in the sand under the water seem to repeat the patterns of the woodgrain in the board on the end of the dock. I'm sure you saw that too and that your goal was to tell the story within the story(nice vision). I really like the fact that the crab pot is the only element without a reflection, it adds a sense of suspense and wonder to the serene composition. When I covered the dry sand in the lower left corner of the picture with my thumb the composition seemed to gain some depth, maybe that just me. NICE WORK
An absolutely lovely image in a very impressive portfolio. All your images reflect peace and beauty which are very much in need. Congratulations on your exceptional artistic talent.
