Fuji San

A couple of years ago, a friend and I climbed up to the peak of Yatsu ga Take (Mt. Yatsu) in Yamanashi Prefecture and witnessed one of the finest dawns I have ever seen from a mountain peak. Though we could see mountains all around, Mt. Fuji to the south commanded the attention of everyone out on that chilly November morning. Mt. Fuji stands 3,776 metres above sea level and has few mountains around its base. Rising above the mists of morning it is truly an amazing site to behold. This goes out to everyone who took the time to view my photographs on Art Wanted this year, especially to those who left comments. I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2006. Cheers!

A beautiful shot Peter. There is something special in seeing this mountain with your own eyes. I've been fortunate enough to have seen it many times.
