Buachaille Etive Mor

Crossing Ranoch Moor from the Grampain Mountains and approaching Glen Coe one has this view of Buachaille Etive Mor. It is not nearly the highest mountain in the Scottish Highlands but it is one of the most impressive. The rock appears to have surged straight up through the landscape like some great tusk piercing the moor. There are other mountains in the area but this one demands your attention. As British photographer Joe Cornish put it, "It's not the highest mountain... but it acts like it is."

Hi Peter, being scottish myself this photograph takes me back...Great shot...All the best Cath

Artist Reply: I wish I could go back. I didn't have enough time there. Only driving around and running over the moor, off the highway. I wanted a chance to climb up one of those beauties.
