Moraine Lake

This is one of the most photographed places in Canada. Moraine Lake in Banff National Park is on the south side of Temple Mountain, where Lake Louise is on the north side. From a heap of rocks that make up the terminal moraine at the end of the lake you can see the rugged cliffs of the Valley of the Ten Peaks. As with Lake Louise, I have never been here when I could get the standard shot of the lake. But the different weather situations help me find different opportunities and create images less familiar to the public. I like the ripples in the water behind the tree.
