Urban Vulpes

It looks much better in real life, honest. I dont know what happened, the colours just got all washed out in the scanning process. I think it was because this painting is done on canvas and I couldnt get all of the image touching flat on the scanner (If that makes sense). Anyways, this is my final painting for my graphics class. I chose the theme of 'Urban' and I chose to study urban vermin and the transition of wildlife from rural areas to urban areas. This is a design for a book cover. I named the book Urban Vulpes and merged the words together. The lettering was added digitally of course. It is a fox with a city night scape as a background. Perhaps I will try and get a photo of the canvas, colours might look better then. Darn technology...

This is done with tender care and emotion, I can feel that! Everything you have done to this is very thoughtful and full of artistic meaning. The colors are fitting and the composition is profound. You give us this profile in fine detail and compelling forms. Great use of the black n white background against the the red and white of the fox. Very impressive!
