This is an owl that resides at the Cleveland Natural History Museum. He is taken care of by the wildlife management department and they usually do teachings and little presentations mainly to students from schools in the Cleveland and Suburban areas. They always like to introduce an animal to intrigue the kids. I think it also teaches them to stay focused on the life outdoors and to care for their environment and don't mess with the wildlife. This fellow, was walking with one of the Wildlife Management worker friend while I was strolling through the Dinosaur section of the museaum. It's always nice to meet one of the residents. Last time was a 8 foot Boa, but I meet all kinds. They are not sure why this little fellow was missing an eye. They can only imagine it got into some hostile fighting which cost it's eye. They nursed him back to health and now they have a man made replica of his natural habitat which he will be safe with his disability. I don't think he notices his eye is gone just with the look in the picture. Like he's saying, "Whatcha Lookin At?"
