DESCRIPTION: An effigy of the Goddess of the Earth gazing sardonically upon us. The face is created by a fracture in the gourd with burned details -- just like the Earth Herself. The gourd has been cured for several years in order to achieve the color patterns that were then enhanced by acrylic paint. The surface then was carefully finished to create a natural buffed shine (slightly mat). Unfired beads also made by the artist.
