Through The Gate

An oil painting done from a pastel sketch made on the spot. I very much like the juxtaposition of the trees. even though the largest is at the edge of the frame it all balances well together.

indeed JG... your subtle style is impressive... theres a calm and mystique that makes me dive in and linger... brava on the sunlight dabbing through around the shadows.. size? : )
