This painting is a new version of an earlier one entitled, "Elk near Mt. Lone Pine". For those who love the High Sierras and Highway 395, there is no mistaking the beauty of that area and always wanting to return again and again. Mt. Lone Pine is above the barn and Mt. Whitney is to the right above the little house. I have posted the new version and the old version of this painting that was first completed in 2001. There was nothing wrong with the first version. I just thought it needed a little more pizazz.
