Hazy Skyline is a small watercolor, just 2 by 3 inches matted to 3 by 4 inches, that explores the quiet presence of an abstract cityscape. Using muted blues and rusty browns, I layered soft, diffuse brushstrokes to suggest tall buildings seen through a veil of mist. The vertical composition emphasizes the gentle progression of color and form, inviting a calm and ethereal moment that lingers between clarity and haze. This piece grew from thinking about how urban landscapes hold stillness within their movement, capturing a place shaped as much by atmosphere as by structure.

LOVELY FRED. HOW FUNNY, I JUST FINISHED ONE I CALL, FOG SETTING IN. I'M NOT HAPPY WITH IT SO PROBABLY WON'T POST IT. DID IT IN WATERCOLOR. TRYING A NEW THING WITH A FOGGY LOOK.

Artist Reply: Thanks Joanie; I'm really attempting more watercolor this new year as it allows me to free up my impressionist style. I'm also going to attempt more abstract mini's
