Playing again with b&w against color working with charcoal and prismacolors. The portrait of the semi-autobiographical hero of a novel, I've used this style to impress both the connectedness and alienation she feels. I chose to reveal only part of the face to leave it ambiguous and give that sense of everyman... she's our hero Georgie, but she could be you or I as well. The crowd too is ambiguous to represent the multiplicity of feelings and behaviors toward one another.
