Two male Giganotosaurus carolinii fighting over who will be the alpha in the group. The quills are on full display in an attempt to intimidate the other. Yes, I am fully aware that there isn't any fossilized evidence of quills on a Giganotosaurus but that's ok. I like to ask the question, "What if they did?" This artwork was completed in December 2025 into January 2026 with a combination of charcoal and graphite pencils on a 16"x20" cold press illustration board. The "dust" was completed with charcoal powder using two different paint brushes. The dinosaurs were completed with charcoal ranging from HB to 6B while the background elements were done with graphite ranging from 6H to 6B.
