This is number 6 in this series of abstract face sculpture. A couple of friends took me out this last Monday to eat and do a bit of shopping. I found several bottles of neon acrylic at Dollar Tree and thought I'd give them a try. This uses my usual custom compound, paper, floral foam, wood and acrylic paints. It stands around 13 inches tall including the base. The base is 5 inches in diameter. Another slice of Original Jones Art as it continues to bake in northwest Austin, Texas.

Hi Charles: You excel at variations on a theme. It's astounding. Keep them coming please. Best Wishes

Artist Reply: When you think about it, all faces are just variations on a theme, John. Only masks, it's strange how we trust some and mistrust others. Keep up your cerebral work as well. :)

I like your makeup experiments that should definitely cause a few new trends to the current facial business

Artist Reply: Thanks, Nikolay! You know me. Whatever is trending, I'm mentally rending. At least he's a bright boy. Hope you're doing well. :)

Joanie Holliday Yesterday

HE LOOKS VERY UPSET ABOUT SOMETHING!!

Artist Reply: He does look a little burned up about something, Joanie. But there's no use trying to talk to him when he's like this. Maybe when he cools down a bit, I can get the reason out of him. Hope all is good with you and you're all cool, calm and collected. :)

Wow ! love the expression and colors . Super cool work, Charles : )

Artist Reply: Ralphie is actually hotter in person, Dave. Take him outside and he attracts hummingbirds. Well, I did have a close encounter with one when I had him painted and drying out front. Hope all is good to better. :)
