Liberty Park Entrance

Plein-Air 10x8 gouache on panel. While painting a poet, Jake, came by and impromptu made up a poem about my work. He allowed me to take a video of him reciting the poem. Today I ride, today I see I went to the park of Liberty I saw a lady from a distance so I did a U-turn to see what she was painting this day Small pictures, large pictures it doesn’t matter you see If the love is given to the picture, you get all the things you need For I see her painting the sign in front of her Instead of painting it brown, she painted it green in that way She’s got the pictures of the trees in decline as they go down and down the line But I say to you that when you see this picture’s soul Imagine closing your eyes and walking the path that they go As you see it goes into shadow but The trees are tall and thick and they will guide you along the way Thanks Jake!
