This is a colour pencil drawing I made using Derwent Artists colour pencils on thick (Cartridge) paper.

Nice work here Philip! Nice attention to detail on the shoes. Like where the leather is sewen together to the little plastic tips on the shoe laces. By the way, do you prefer Derwent colored pencils over Prismacolor?

Artist Reply: Artist Reply: Many thanks Ryan, This drawing was from a while back, when using Derwent Artists pencils on cartridge paper was my go-to for drawing, but as of the last few years I now use a mix of Polychromos (especially the cool greys and black for B+W works) and Prismacolors as they both have their own benefits (polychromos keeping a sharp point, prismacolors being more vibrant) I also now use Strathmore 300 series Bristol paper as a surface over the cartridge paper, as it seems to work well with my blending techniques (obviously it's a lot less "toothy" than the cartridge paper)
